Says "clear title" and then Goes on to say "Must go to the DMV here to change the title. " not really sure what that means.  Is it a clear Japanese title?  DMV would love that...

He probably won't let it leave until the title is in the new owners name.

or....here in Florida, if it is an 'out of state' title, you have to bring the bike to the DMV so they can check that the #s on the title match the bike.  Doesn't have to be a 17 digit VIN, just has to match.

...Because people were re-titling vehicles in fictitious names to gain registration on things with DMV holds for tickets etc. Now you have to appear in person and show ID to get a vehicle title name changed rather than doing it by mail with a signed pink. It varies by state.

Regardless of all that, that's a great price for an RG.

Really?  So the Federal 25year import rule is good everywhere except CA?

Meaning all these containers of 25year or older JDM vehicles that are coming in can be registered everywhere but CA?

Man that sucks for you guys.  There are TONS of JDM vehicles up here now.  Lotsa Mitsu Delica vans, Suzuki Carry 4x4 Kei trucks, JDM bikes, etc etc.

I wonder how hard it would be to get a JDM bike with an Oregon reg, registered in California?
