Title: 2R9 con rods in my RD400c?
Post by: rd400canuck on October 27, 2019, 11:19:38 AM
Hi guys,

Am rebuilding a 1976 RD400c and I'm wondering if these were the stock con rods that are in it that say 2R9 on them. It's a canadian bike.

Ive ordered some prox con rods from economy-cycle to replace them since I figured I'd just have the entire crank rebuild but I am curious about the 2R9 pars.

Thanks!

The 2R9 rods are fine for your engine.

Pro-X 2070 are the replacement rods for both the Canadian 2R9 and U.S. 1A1 Std models.
Also the '79 2V0 Daytona models.

Thanks for input... I have the 2070's on order from economycycle. Once I get them I'll send my crank out for rebuild. Was just curious if my crank was from some other model as I expected to see 1A1 on the rods... but I guess 2R9 is canadian part number for the RD400c
