Huge thanks to Sean Skinner at Motorelic (Hooked me up with a spare spacer), Chuck Quenzler, my awesome neighbor Dave who helped with machining, my Dad who also helped me machine the spacer with a brake lathe, and Eric Zanutto for advice.
The spacer that was supplied wasn't quite right so i had to make some adjustments to make it fit precisely.
More pictures to come!
First picture is my neighbor Dave using his lathe to turn down the I.D a tad...
Second picture is the thickness being turned down to 13mm on a good 'ol Ammco brake lathe!
Sorry for the sideways pictures. Trying to figure out the forum picture format...

Thanks! I didn't want the bolts centering it, so the spacer I tried to make wouldn't work very well so I went with hub centric one instead. A huge thanks to you as well for getting me started on the project!

Thanks hahaha. Now tell me the secret;)
No secret. I just saved the pic to my desk top & rotated it with the curved arrow icon at the top. You might have to select save after rotating to desired direction.
Sketchy? Never heard of it...
very nice work. You a man on a mission and seems like you are going to accomplish it. A fun well running RD400.

Thank you very much for the kind words. It sure is fun to see a project come together!
Test fit. Still needs some filing and tweaking....

Thank You!
Everything lines up perfectly! Now that I know where all of my holes are, I can finish shaping and polishing up the caliper adapter to make it look better. No CNC's or CAD used on my conversion! :whoop: 8) :righteous:
nice.
use stronger bolts to the fork legs. '8.8' = grade 5 (roughly). use class 10.9 metric if possible. and shouldered if you can. :twocents:

Lookin good Nick 👍
My local Ace stocks shouldered 10.9 JIS head bolts. The head on a 10 is 12mm which looks just right and strong as hell
