This listing confuses me.
Had all this work done, and a few other "new" parts to add, just needs reassembled. But, if the asking price isn't met, he's gonna part it out? Why not just put it back together before selling it? I'm legitimately confused here.
Yeah...he doesn't want to put it together to sell it, but he'll take it apart to sell it? In any case, I wish I had some extra Grovers; I happen to be going to Ohio next month.

It's a bit of a gamble but a good price for an RZ with title and hopefully with a rebuilt engine.
i think its a bluff. If hes too lazy to put it together he wont part it. :twocents:
And he wont put it together so that it can be ran, so almost guaranteed the motor is garbage.
Every bike I have bought that was supposedly just rebuilt has needed huge work. The previous owner either did nothing and lied or replaced a few things with cheap garbage parts. If I buy a used bike I tear it apart before running every time.
The last motor I bought that was just rebuilt had a trashed head, Chinese cylinders, Namura pistons, heaps of silicone everywhere, and by the amount of crap in the bottom end it must have sat in somebody's garage with the cylinders off for a few years.
The seller was very insistent that I look up the exhaust ports to see the brand new pistons.
BEEN THERE. RZ motor I received had wiped out water pump and defective oil pump. (badly rebuilt), missing PV retainer, etc. Even had receipts. The guy i got it from got it with receipts and wasn't his fault, was further down the line from him so i wasn't mad at him.
Yea, it screams "I messed this motor up but won't admit it as this bike is SuPeR RaRe." Even though every few weeks another RZ pops up for sale at a similar price.
I'm only 2 1/2 hours away from his location. I go to Port Clinton to the CMP every so often, so I know the route at least to that point. I want to look at that motor for myself just out of curiosity.
Below is so true!
If you are interested ask for him to take off a pipe before you show up to take a look at the cylinder and piston from exhaust port and ensure you see that 31K making on cylinders...
