Title: crank bearing ring?
Post by: rd400canuck on January 10, 2020, 03:45:41 PM
Hey guys,

Got my crank back.. looks awesome.

Each bearing has an o-ring around it. I assume I leave them on to prevent bearings from spinning since there are no nubs now... but on the one end there is a located ring usually... I think I want to take the o-ring off that bearing and use the locator ring to keep that end of the crank from shifting side to side? There is a lot of side to side... the webs can touch the sides and rub so im guessing locator ring is a must

Yes you are right, the metal ring must be on there to position and hold the crank in place.
