Title: Aluminum head washers
Post by: rd400canuck on January 13, 2020, 09:11:14 PM
Another quick questions...

The bike didnt have any of the aluminum washers under the head bolts like it should have. Is there any problem with me just finding a similar size and thickness in stainless or steal?

stock rd ones are steel, the aluminum washers IMHO are too soft to run. i run steel ones, but on the lightweight i have titanium with aluminum head bolts. ;)

Watercoolers (LC, RZ, TZR, etc) use copper crush washers at the head bolts that are within the water jacket.

Never seen aluminum ones.
