On the old forum I was given some assistance on jetting the VM30s for a Daytona 400 with a ported and piped (DGs) motor with pods. We are around 3000ft elevation. Looking for a starting point if anyone remembers.
Where is the best place for the VM30 these days as well?
Thanks!

Chuck sells VM30s
Baseline jetting.
3.0 cut slide
6DH3 needle
159-P2 needle jets
2.0 air jet
45 pilot
280 main
40:1 premix
This got me really close but at sea level.
Timed at 1.9 btdc
VM30s / JL pipes / UNI filters
I've since upgraded to TM34s. Huge improvement
We ran VM30's on the Kart Track Racer with very similar (if not the same) jetting at Garrett's recommendation.
Sea level, unifilters, MotoCarrera Millenium pipes, HPI ignition.
We really didn't have time to dial the jetting in other than how Garrett supplied the carbs, and we ran it for 6hours straight at race pace with no issues whatsoever.
Haha, only engine break-in was the trackday the day before :metal:
Maybe Garrett can chime in what his VM30 jetting specs are 'coz they were perfect.
How do you like the 34's compared to the 30's? That is a big carb!

The 34's made a big difference. No Dyno numbers to compare but it gained a very noticeable amount of power. Throttle response seems crisper and fuel consumption hasn't changed. I plan on more porting eventually, and the TM's will support that.
