Title: Yamaha RD400F Daytona original OEM pipes, any good?
Post by: old-too-smoker on March 01, 2020, 07:55:20 PM
Greetings smokers!  Been thinking about the exhaust on my RD400F project bike, I would like to try the stock exhaust as I want to keep it as original as possible. But if they are awful like the original carbs then I will find an aftermarket set, any recommendations?? Also I want to keep the center and side stands. Already decided not to use the F carbs, instead use a new set of TBD 28's.

Stock pipes are fine for performance, do a baffle mod.
You'll have to remove butterflys and plug the shafts and deal with the screw on headpipes to the one piece manifold.
