Title: eBay keys
Post by: JB Weld on March 19, 2020, 06:56:20 PM
Anyone purchase replacement keys from eBay? For the last few years I was convinced the key was in the ignition of my RD. I've been working on getting it back on the road recently, and happened to look at the ignition only to find the key missing.

Looked on eBay, and willing to pay the price if it's legit. Don't care if I get a genuine Yamaha key even though mine was.

I've used them. Not on my RD, but an old CT90 and a moped. Keys worked great. You just need to supply him with the number on the lock.

I just gave my local locksmith the lock number and they made me a key.

I bought a pair. Turns out the guy is down the street from my moms house. The keys work, he communicated well.

I have ordered keys off ebay a few times. Never been an issue them them working. Just give the them # off the key shield.

   :celebrate: I was just about to message seller with numbers off the ignition, when I looked up on the shelf and spotted the key on the gas tank! Man am I happy I don't have to spend $11 on a key. But I will have spares made!
