any US RD350 models came with black painted cylinders with fin edges buffed ? seeing chinese cylinders with such details, a pic attached for reference
Yes, OEM finish was black paint with natural cooling fin edges
Really...but most of the bikes have aluminum finish cylinders isn't? that is the confusion :umm:

all us spec rd250/350s, r5/ds7 (and 400's i think) had black cyls with aluminum colored fin ends stock. :patriot:
so the ones like below are the same OE but paint fallen off due to age ? I have seen so many like this on Ebay

they have been either hot tanked or media blasted in the past. very common. I can assure you the paint doesn't 'fall off'. its a pain in the ass to get off, actually.
Almost every other used cylinders are aluminium grey , hence the doubt

Yes , RD painted cylinders are painted black with sanded edges on the fins as stock as Mark posted.
They do fade off the original paint after 40 years old!
