Title: Suspension sag numbers?
Post by: oxford on May 28, 2020, 08:49:27 PM
What are some good sag numbers for the forks on a rd350.  I have a set of racetech springs in the front and need to setup the preload spacers they supplied.

I'm guessing that is 25% of total fork travel?  Anyone know what the travel is?  I have tx500 sliders and internals but I think they are pretty much the same as the 350.

Yes, 25% of total travel.

Pull the tops off of the each fork tube, put a zip tie around the skinny leg while at full droop, then compress the forks all the way. Once extended measure how far the zip tie moved.

RDs have about 120mm travel. Note: 25% is with the rider sitting on the bike.
