Title: Steel braided brake lines rd400
Post by: rd400greenhorn on July 09, 2020, 12:54:26 PM
Hi guys
So iam looking for steel braided lines for the rd400
Just as, last time i got a set for the ungoing project it came with the correct rd400 front line, so with the connection for the copper tuning.

I dont what that.
I Want just banjo connections,

Anyone know where to get a set that fits the rd400? :)

I bought both of mine, front and rear, through EconomyCycle.

get a set locally made at a hydraulic supply house. take the 'olive' out of the front caliper and get a banjo fitting and good to go.  :twocents:

Well, the stock hard Line (copper tubing) helps with getting a nice hose run, especially on bikes with the caliper in front of the fork slider, i.e RD350. Aftermarket 1 piecen horses tend to be awkward to route nicely.

Check the Team Scream section of the forum for Chuck's recommendations for making your own. This is what I did on the front of my 350. Very happy with the results, after having to order various components. Learned a bit from this too. I did retain the hard line on my front caliper though.
