Yeah... So as you May have seen, I could not resist buying another rd400, as they Are rarely for sale here in Denmark, and it was running and registrered.
It was running poorly, mainly due to fueling /choke issues i think..
It looked half desent, the guy i bought it from had it the last 11 years and did Nothing to it, Besides the necessary, Which was done by another more mechanical inclined.
So... Got me thinking i needed to fix that fueling issue, and one thing let to another, and here we are 😁
Plans:
Refurb front end with new progressiv springs, fork stanchions, etc.
Restore calipers, ss pistons, new seals, pads and steel braided lines
Discs are getting Drilled Most likely
New paint job
Hopefully only a fresh hone to the cylinder
Complete engine overhaul/check up/ cleaning
Powerdynamo ignition
New handlebar ( this clubman revers thing that was mounted was insane)
Mabe a new seat
Mild tune of the engine ( pipes, reeds, air filter)
Rearsets
Yeah so, Its gonna look and work hopefully, like a new bike!!
And Its gonna be done in 2-3 months hopefully!
Just Picked up the engine from water polish

Not sure yet what i Will do with the engine cases / cylinder / heads
Clear coat, spray paint or??
Also, sent My crank today of to Pjme in England, for a rebuild
I Will proberly be 3 - 4 weeks time.

I've always liked the Yamaha black cases with alloy highlights....head, barrel fins detailed too.
