Title: Aftermarket performance Clutch baskets?
Post by: patastinky on July 19, 2020, 12:24:45 PM
JSpooner was kind enough to sell me his clutch basket and primary drive so that I can complete my motor reassembly. However, prior to that I was searching for an aftermarket alternative. Can the RD350 use a Banshee clutch basket? Those seem to be  readily available. I've gone to Hinson & Wiseco Aires, but they have other RD models,  it the 350 for some reason. I'd like to know for my knowledge. Maybe on the next tear down or when I change the clutch I'll upgrade.

You need to drill out the rivets to keep the primary.  Banshee primaries are not the same.

Right. I'd be drilling out the rivets to keep my primary, however the clutch basket is compatible it would seem. Great!
