Title: Boyesen RAD valve
Post by: 85RZwade on November 15, 2020, 01:05:59 AM
Does anyone have experience with the Boyesen RAD valve on the RZ350 or 350LC ('82) engine?

Ive never used Boysesn before, but if you are buying a complete reed / cage setup I would rather go with Vforce. No screws holding it together is a win for me.

I was looking at manifolds for slightly bigger carburetors and stumbled across the RAD valve again. It seems to have been around for a long time, but I don't remember reading anything about it pertaining to the Yamaha twins; probably some info to be found on the banshee forums. I am more curious than interested in buying at this point.

I think I have heard they are too stiff and don't work well on twins.

No firsthand experience, and I'm probably wrong  :busey:
