Wow, just realized how good my Les Paul sounds through my Vibro- Champ, this is gonna be a good year............................D
I like electric guitars.
I like to listen to guitars, playing them, well that is best left to people that aren't me.
Chris, your instrument is the mill!
I enjoy playing guitar as well. Own several of them and built one and several cigar box ones. Still waiting for my dream guitar to be given to me...Surf Green Fender Jaguar.

In college I played in a few bands, one even got pretty popular. I built this washtub bass and we covered a few rock songs and played a few originals. We got paid to play a number of gigs, and eventually were invited to play this small festival. To our dismay got paid in mushrooms instead of actual money. That turned into a wild time real fast. We didn't sound too bad, but in retrospect we were more of a club for getting wrecked and we dabbled in music. I enjoyed building the washtub bass far more than playing it. I think the mill is much more my speed. I can toil away and torture myself without the prying eyes of others. That's good enough for me.
I built a Warmoth Strat 26 years ago, have been beating it since day one! It has mellowed into a sweet ax................................D
Currently playing an Epi Les Paul. It's a decent guitar for the price. Looking to buy a Tele or a 335 eventually. I played in a few bands back in the old days. Mostly hard rock and blues stuff. There's so much neat gear out these days with the ability to emulate all of the classic amps. Hard to beat a Les Paul through a tube amp.

Here's a link to some original tunes we recorded back in 96.

A few years back, we were in Napa at the Father-in-law's house, and his GF says "hey wanna check out my old guitar from high school?" She rummages around in the closet, and pulls out a mint condition Burgundy Mist Metallic 1964 Jaguar. Probably still sporting the original strings, and the hang tags were in the case pocket. I tried so hard to get her to loan it to me, but she ended up selling it for around $5k

This is my basic setup 1986 Rickenbacker 360 Tuxedo. This sweet guitar actually belongs to the wife, and is one of 200 Tuxedo 360's ever made.

... and my with my old '73 Jazz Bass (sold). I've been in lotsa bands thru the years both in SF and here in Portland. Mostly punk/garage-rock. Haven't been in a band for awhile, mostly jamming in the basement now. I play bass thru a early '70's Ampeg V4B. Sold the '73 and got a modern MIJ Jazz Bass. Plays better, and put $2k in my pocket for motorcycle parts.

Bassman! I had a black faced bassman amp for a little while. 120 watts iirc 🤷🏻♂️ Love the vintage stuff but it ain't cheap anymore.

I've had that lil' Bassman 50 for about 25 years. Scored it for $45 from a Deadhead bus sale in Golden Gate Park. I re-tubed it and had my Dad set the bias, and had a sweet sounding vintage head for less than $75.
The Harmony H78 was $150 from the same sale. Hell, the OG Bigsby on it was worth the asking price. A few years ago, when The Black Keys were blowing up, I sold it for almost $1000. More motorcycle money!
45 bucks.....man if that wasn't a steal.
In the eighties I spent most of my money buying old tube amps, Ampeg V4, Marshall JCM 800, Mesa Boogie MK11, Black face DeLuxe Reverb, Bassman, Pro Reverb and lots more. They're kinda like old bikes, you have to maintain them! I have a climate controlled studio that keeps them warm. Jim that Jaguar was given away at 5K.................................D
