Title: Need Help with my Turn Signal Chatter
Post by: Milan on February 03, 2021, 09:36:06 AM
Ive got 2 turn signals that the heads are loose at the mid joint
They chatter and make noise at certain RPM's

There is a hole in the back that looks like a set screw, but it is not.

Does anyone know how to tighten these two pieces up?

actually, there IS supposed to be a blanked screw in there. cant remember if its 4 or 5 mm but the factory ones were threaded in and then smoothed on the outside then plated. id get a stainless set screw and loctite it in. set it flush.

How do you get it out?

From the outside?

Try a drill bit in reverse & see if it backs out, then put the setscrew in?

Or does it have to be taken apart & accessed from the inside.

Thanks.

they arent designed to be taken apart, but the factory screw will fall out over time, at least in my experience.  :twocents:
