Title: Clutch Plate Re-soak
Post by: Striker1423 on April 16, 2021, 07:48:12 AM
Should you soak your used clutch plates again when reassembling the motor?

I've been painting my side covers in preparation for reassembly on the motor. But, oil makes a mess. I figure the clutch fibers have plenty of soaked in oil and aside from that I'll have a fresh amount of oil in the motor once in the bike.

Am I working on messing something up if I don't?

only if they feel dry. i assume they aren't the old all fiber ones. IF they are, they need to be replaced anyway.
