Anybody here find an LED dual brite bulb for the RD rear tail / brake light.
How about the blinkers.?
I have an old shuffle board puck bowling machine.
I bought a bunch of the small LED bulbs for replacement on the machine.
Seems these bulbs fit great into the RD's tach & Speedo.
So wanting to replace the others.
came across theses

Like getting from Amazon, so if they dont work, they have free returns.

I haven't tried those however Auxito headlight bulbs are the best I've tried for motorcycles. They cost around $15 apiece when bought in pairs.
A while back Chuck recommended the Phillips tail light bulbs

For turn signals, keep in mind that you will need to swap out the flasher relay for a no-load type to work with the LEDs or use load equalizers (resistors)
I looked at the link above. $60 for (2)
That bulb is Red.
The RD's rear lens is white on the bottom, so as to illuminate the license plate.
So I think the bulb needs to be white.
I also did not see in the description, whether the bulb has a Low / Hi for Tail lite & then brake light.
Amazon does have a link to the white one, but again does not state dual brite

I am running the Auxitos. $12 for *two*....It is white light. It illuminates red thru the tail lens, and white through the clear window above the plate. I don't run blinkers, only hand signals and mostly one finger at that...

Same ones as the Amazon link above.
So these are low for tailight & Hi for brake.
And work good.
Have you done anything for blinkers.
These ones say resistor built in:

I Just get a relay like this, works with any bulbs.

You wire just one & put it off the main?
Seems if the the bulbs with resisters work, just easier to get them.

how good is the differentiation with the running light and brake light on those linked on ebay? thats always been my main issue with led tail lights. :twocents:
I just bought an LED 1157 from my local auto parts store - remember them? and the brake light is much brighter than the rear (running) light.
Better to support your local parts store or dealer IMHO. Jeff Bezos doesn't need my cash, so I try to avoid making him take it. Besides, It's nice to take home shiny things instead of waiting for the truck to arrive.
i agree. however, the last one i bought at a parts store.. was awhile ago.. was not much of a difference. i like to run the old school 1157's, but i get the long life ones.
My parts store guys know me by my 1st name. lol. all of them.
