Since the OEM RD400 rear kit (1A1-20000-50-00) is NLA from Yamaha here are the options:
1. Economy Cycle OEM kit (https://www.economycycle.com/shop/yamaha-rd250350400r5ds6ds7-parts/frame-related/brakes/yamaha-rd400all-rear-master-cylinder-rebuild-kit-oem/)
2. Economy Cycle repro kit (https://www.economycycle.com/shop/yamaha-rd250350400r5ds6ds7-parts/frame-related/brakes/rebuild-kits-master-cylinders-calipers/yamaha-rd400all-rear-master-cylinder-rebuild-kit-reproduction/)
3. OEM substitute: Yamaha 2YK-W0042-50-00 (from FJ1200, Wolverine, etc.)
(For a RD400 you can use the spring and rubber parts, but not the piston)
4. If you need the piston then the one mentioned above by DesmoDrew is one to get

I've used the Yamabits kit on a couple and they worked out ok. Their kit comes with all the internals including the piston.
