I messaged Metmachex in the UK just to see if they made stock length straight-pull swingarms for the 73-75 RD 350.
They responded:
"We would have to have your bike here as we don't have any jigs and/or drawings for the bike." I think a UK 2t friend might be able to help us out over the winter? :D
Will be watching this. 400 length would be better though.
:agree: interesting for sure. I am surprised they've no information for such a common bike.

Me too and why could not find someone real easy themselves.
There is a member here who has fitted one of them to a 400, and I think he mentioned he is a friend of the owner.
If I remember right it was Dusty350 or something similar.

Crickets so far on ACRD forum. I asked of anyone had a rolling chassis they'd be willing to let metmachex take a look at. I bet if I offered to pay for a swingarm for them it'd be a different time lol.
Haven't been there in long time, just went no replies at all. I at least expected can't do it myself but hopefully someone can etc. but nothing.
I didn't know they had one for 400, didn't last time I looked (was a long time ago)
if they still offer it, id go w a 400 one.
I wonder what shipping would be, notoriously high from UK.
Rd400 arm is still listed in the price list.
That's what I saw, assume they have available.
The only reason I asked about a 350 one was because I'd rather leave the stock setup as much alone as possible. Just a more modern straight-pull adjuster and better swingarm would look nice.
...but you DO realise everyone, including Yamaha, thinks putting a longer swing arm on a RD350 improves the handling

I understand this. I'm just talking about leaving the rear fender alone, etc. A stockish look, etc.
its only an inch longer. (350 to 400). you should eb able to get most of that in the adjustment.

Ok, I'll look into that then. Unfortunately, I'm in a bit of a financial pickle here. Stuffs on hold for now. Thanks for the info Mark!
the motolana is pretty budget friendly. i had a metmachex on my RZ. while it was nice, very nice, the lower brace did foul the chain.. and i can say that certainly didn't impress me.
I got excited when I saw they had RD arm in price list, when I saw pic no 80's style brace (wanted that just for the look) decided to go with motolana. Hell of a lot cheaper a bonus.
