Good information there and accurate ...
The major problem was india was running mopeds n scooters n small bikes n then there was Royal Enfield Bullet 350.
RD350 was a surprise for indian riders back then who could not handle the power....and rest untrained mechs leaded the bikes to low mileage , ignition issues ,oil pump failures..
I got my RD when I was 20 ....in 2002 in a descent condition and never ever I had put any blames on her .
You do your part she will do her ...she's as reliable bike as any if taken proper care.
I don't have ANY other bike RD is my fish market bike , office commute n weekends spins with friends and I enjoy working on her which is more fun

At one time (90's when I first went there), most fuel stations had pre-mix and diesel. Few had straight petrol. Then the 2T auto rickshaws were banned (at least, I saw and heard no more after ~mid-2000s). So, how do you oil them now? Injector or premix?
There are still lot of rickshaws on 2T in cities , majorly in rural places as CNG doesn't perform in steep terrains..
Pump use to have premix you are right , now they keep 1T oul pouches 60ml each or a 500ml bottle which you can add either in pump or fuel tank depending on your set up
So far we are surviving ....:)
