Today I got the disassembly done for the new Darth and Steve oil lines install on the Phoenix Project. Joe Byrd was kind enough to set the lines up for me and install the new check valves and springs. I had to reclock the #2 line and inadvertently unscrewed the banjo fitting. I carefully reassembled it and all is well.

I will tighten everything and then prime and leak check the system with my drill next chance I get to work on it.

Bike has been sitting for 6 months because I was afraid of the bad check valves (s). It took about 30 seconds with the pump wide open running the drill to fill the lines and pump oil up to the intakes.

All 3 needles and seats and /or floats stuck as the gas had evaporated in the float bowls. Thank God for 100LL. No gum or varnish. Then it took about 10 kicks before it started and shortly after oil fouled all 3 plugs. Plugs out kicked about 50 times gas off. Put in another old set of plugs and got it to run on all 3 and eventually idle. All 3 pipes are smoking evenly so hopefully all is well. I also took a measurement from the oil filler neck to the oil in the tank and will re-check it before I start it again. All in all a good afternoons work.

Could you tell me why the need for the check valves though?
all 2 stroke injection systems have checkvalves, including yamahas (yamahas have them int he pump nozzles). its 1: to keep the crankcases from filling up with oil from the tank, and 2: to not have 'blow back' from the intake back up the oil in the lines, but primarily the 1st part.

Ok.. I never worked on one that had the check valves at the line like that.. I was thinking that the op had installed extra ones, thinking the pump already had a check valve.

The old G3 had the check valve like that, makes sense as its Kawi too. I got lucky and was able to replace the oil line with a new one by unthreading and rethreading the oil banjo setup. The new line came without the hardware, and the way they ran the line meant I would have needed to disassemble the motor and I was NOT doing that to the G3 at the time.

After setting for a week, I checked the level in the oil tank and it was exactly the same as when I ran it last week
Started on 3rd kick and all 3 pipes smoked evenly. Put 40 miles on and it ran great. I will do a final detail a few days before the Gap.
Next on the lift is the RZ350 for new steering stem bearings.
