Relaxing too- enjoyed and savored 2 glasses of Red Cab aged in bourbon casks.

My youngest soon passed down to me a classic Led Zep purple tie-died T shirt that I wear often.

I remember Physical Graffitti- if memory serves me right it was released in 1976.

Physical might be my favorite Zeppelin album. I feel like it's the bridge between early Zeppelin and the later albums...foreshadowing of Presence, Coda and In Through the Out Door. Hope you had a piece of Custard Pie with that Cabernet

All sounds good! I have serious sellers remorse on selling my 1980 LP Custom years ago in Cherry Sunburst.  :bang: I have a mint 79 Strat my late mother bought me that is all original. Natural finish, black pick guard, maple neck, original tremolo/ whammy bar, and deep pile orange carpet in the original case. VERY 70's! Had it serviced with frets dressed about a year ago by a luthier. My go to is a 2000 Paul Reed Smith Swamp Ash Special- love that versatile guitar as it has coil tapping. Years ago when gigging and playing clubs, it was perfect as I never had to change guitars in a set! I also had 2 different Roland Ready Strats and became proficient with the module and sounds you could get out of it. Lots of work with it and sold them off.

Ohh- a piece of custard would have been good with that but none in my domicile.  I did have some dark chocolate with it and some Nips coffee hard candy afterwards.

I was actually acquainted with Les Paul as a teenager.  I worked at a regional Want-Ad paper in northern NJ (Want Ad Press there, Patstinky)  There was an "Auto" and a "General Merch" version.  Those in the know would stop in on the weekend and bribe us with beer and weed to get early copies to scan for good stuff.

Les Paul lived in the next town.  He actually sold electronics in that paper and would stop in occasionally to get his early copy.

First off, imagin going to buy a used amp or guitar  or something and arriving at Les Pauls house????

Second, he was a notorious drinker.  He used to show up in a brand new 1975ish Plum Purple Caprice convertible with white interior.  It was new, but beat to shit.  Missing hubcaps, dents etc.  hilarious.

If I had only thought about it then, and gotten autographs on stuff....He was a cool guy and probably would have *given* me a guitar if I asked.

Also, he used to tell stories about his inventions.  He talked about inventing the wha wha pedal and other stuff.  My favorite was him telling us about the "Les Paulveriozor" that Gibson dismissed.  I found a cools YouTube about it:

Listening to the Small Faces and thinking about my our Rickenbacker.

1986 360 Tuxedo.  All white, including the fretboard.  Black hardware.  Only 200 made.  So rare, the only pics on the web are of our guitar.

My wife traded it to her junkie housemate for a crappy Yamaha acoustic and $200.  Unfortunately he still has the Certificate of Authenticity, but I've got a scan of it around here somewhere.  Classic jangly Ric tone was a little thin for the music we were playing, but the action is so nice.  I don't play it often but it's always a treat when I do.

Like I've always said " I spent most of my money on bikes and guitars", the rest of it I blew!
