the hpi is good, but not a great charging system upgrade. the vape is probably the best . economy cycle also sells it and we get a forum discount.

if its just charging, use a solid state regulator or regulator rectifier.

Yeah.  I have the ricks regulator/rectifier and i have had no problem with it.  I currently run points.  I plan to run the HPI but with total elimination of the battery.  I'm tired of buying batteries.  I went to moto united and the new employee was having a problem tracking down the 12N5.5-3b battery which is pretty conventional I thought.  She kept telling me the part number didn't exist lol.  Done with all that.

use an alarm battery, i get 5-8 years out of one.  :twocents:
