Title: Got my Second Headlight Today
Post by: Milan on February 24, 2022, 06:11:39 PM
If you search my ither posts, you will find one regarding headlights fof the RD's.
And how the lights cannot be changed.
So  picked up a stock  headlight assembly from a UK bike .

It has a replaceable bulb.
So in went an LED.

This second one I got also has the little nightlight on it.
The 400F I have, has the headlights on all the time.
But the other models have the On/Off switch.
Which would allow this light to be seen..

I think it was for parking.
Mayb can be wired up the same way for US versions.
Or a seprate switch.

FYI - UK bikes have lens (1A2-84320-30-00) with the opposite beam pattern because they drive on the left. If you got a Euro unit (1A2-84320-21-00, 1A2-84320-46-00) you should be OK. :twocents:

I relooked at the lens.
It is definately different right to left as to the lines in the glass.

hi mate, i don't think that lens is symmetrical, but if it's stamped you can look up which country it's made for. i thought this lens was stamped E4, which would have made it approved for holland and they drive on the right, so would be ok for all mainland europe and the states  :Clown:
cheers, gil.
