Title: RD400 rear wheel circlip and spacer
Post by: Hawaii-Mike on March 05, 2022, 05:20:29 PM
It looks like the circlip and spacer are not available from Yamaha.

The circlip #26 on the parts fiche is p/n 9341065040 according to CMSNL.

The spacer #25 is p/n 9020166585 per CMSNL.

There has to be another circlip for another vehicle of the same size, anybody aware of it?

The spacer I think could be fabricated though it would be easier if someone knows of a suitable matching part.

The washer #28 I have read from a Joe Spooner post can be substituted with an RD400 head gasket, FYI if you didn't already know.

I see that Economy Cycle sells the spacer: https://www.economycycle.com/shop/yamaha-rd250350400r5ds6ds7-parts/frame-related/chains/sprockets/rd400-rear-sprocket-washer-plate-oem-90201-66585-00/

I bought both from Yambits a while back. Take a look there.

An auto parts store or a good, old-fashioned hardware store oughtta be able to match that circlip

I think that was supposed to be "RD350" head gasket. Yes it works, you just need to open up the ID a bit. I did it with an air grinder and a paper bob (a sand paper roll on an arbor)
