Title: R5 Fork Oil…
Post by: AAAltered on April 10, 2022, 12:52:55 PM
Doing spring maintenance.   I drained my forks to replace the oil.

The "book" says 10w/30.  I have 10 weight fork oil on the shelf.

It's an R5 without any fork mods.  The springs are likely 50 years old.  Street ridden.

Any consensus or opinion which way to go?

Put the 10 weight in there if it's only a street bike and you're not hard riding it you're never going to tell the difference anyways so just put it in there and go.
