Not a bad deal. Would have thought CA prices would put this over 10K.

Curious if it the current setup would run with lights.

thats nice, cleanly done. you can tell they guy who built it is selling it, why the price is inline. if it was being flipped they would be asking 10,800 easy id bet.

If this is a custom built frame does it have a VIN and title or is it a track-only bike?

I know you can register a scratch-built vehicle in most states but probably a hassle.

Starting with a complete bike. If you replace an existing frame with hand-built can you just restamp the new frame with the old VIN?

Mark, How did you do the Monospine?

The cops seem likely to check numbers nowadays every time they stop a motorcycle.

I was wondering the same thing about the frame number. I know it can be done but I'm sure it's a HUGE PITA in California. I'm sure most other states would be simple in comparison.

I like the top triple clamp. Looks like it would be a fun bike to rip around on.

shit, ive never had a vin checked. lol. thats funny.

monospine has a stock rd neck. however, i did have one i stamped the number into, and the local dmv approved it for titling purposes (about 20 years ago).

I've never been checked in WI. My TZ frame (actually a TR3 frame) does not even have a number on it and I re-stamped my motor to match the title that I used. I think the only time they get really picky is if you are applying for a new title. Nothing matches on my RD, title, frame and motor are all different. I will re-stamp the motor someday when I have it out again so that it matches the title.
