I just stumbled on this listing: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/mcy/d/san-leandro-1988-nsr250-rothmans-replica/7493319314.html
If I were younger and didn't already have too many bikes, this would be very interesting.
I keep seeing NSR250's for sale! My wife's lucky we can't afford that!
If you're gonna spend way too much on an NSR250R, at least get an MC21 or MC28.

For sure. Do you think $10,ooo is overpriced for an NSR250? From what I've seen that seems reasonable, but I've yet to own one.
I'm cheap, coz I remember when $5k was a lot for an NSR.
Even in today's market, $10k seem a lot for an MC18, but I'm pretty out of touch, and I certainly can't blame the seller for aiming high.
I've got a bike to sell soon, an you can be sure I'm gonna wring every penny out of that thing I can.
... and furthermore, I still wish I never sold my 3XV TZR250R.
That's fair. I'm cheap too. My most expensive bike is my CBR400RR and it cost $3,000 and it's a Japan only model like the NSR! Now if only I can find a $3k NSR :umm:
It's overpriced at $10K. The MC18 is the least desireable of the NSR line and it's not plated. I say $6K max
If you need money for an NSR250 just sell your H1, H2, RD350 or RD400 (in good condition) and you will have almost enough or more than enough.

Good catch. I didn't look that closely. Not plated isn't great.
