Title: 1975 Honda CB750
Post by: Tuck on April 29, 2019, 11:04:52 PM
I know it's not a 2stroke, but this is a clean example of the RD's rival back in the day.

It would! That CB is nice though. 75 was a great year for them. At least looks wise.

That's a nice looking bike!  They're getting pretty rare in stock condition. Most have been hacked into bobbers and cafes by the hipster crowd

When I sold my all-original CB550 the buyer told me that he was taking it to a cafe shop to have it "customized". Pretty sad since it was really nice and I had bought it from the original owner who only put 16K miles on it

heh. they are nice stock but

so.

fucking.

boring.

I like my '14 cb1100 a lot, but its my push button go anywhere bike, and, new. (well, was a holdover). If i never have to pull a set of sohc keihins again it will be too soon.

forget pulling a motor.  :whatever: never again.  :taz: :knightpoop:

That 750 looks good for sure, but I really would take a bone stock '75 Portugese Orange RD instead.

I'm on it! Through due diligence, I know the magazine/ month/ year but haven't been able to locate it yet. I'll find it eventually and will make some nice high quality laminate prints from it.

Is that price even the realm of sanity?  Serious question.  I can buy buckets of CB parts for next to nothing.

yup. its believable a lot of these older guys with disposable incomes don't want , or mostly, don't posses the skillset to build one. Go to most bike shows, and talk tot he people that have the show bikes, its painstakingly obvious a lot of them don't know much, and can spout off some quips about whatever they are standing next to. Of course theres exceptions, but thats getting rarer as the values go up.

Got it on order today in state priority mail!  May or may not have enough time to bring them to the Gap- we'll see.  :umm: I'll probably look at a run of 10 of these which are 11 x 17" in size. Price for the high quality print laminated in 5 mil thickness will be $12 shipped USPS Media Mail or $10 if I am able to deliver in person to the Gap. I'll also start a new thread in the for sale section when they are ready.

Funny that I posted that pic not having any idea you were already working on the prints. It's a great ad!
