Title: 2023 MotoAmerica Schedule
Post by: SoCal250 on September 27, 2022, 01:38:10 AM
The schedule should be announced any day now.

Petrucci has confirmed he's returning for another year with HSBK Ducati.
Gagne & Petersen are both under contract for another year with Attack Yamaha.
It will be interesting to see where Cameron Beaubier winds up following his return from Moto2.

The 2023 schedule has been announced.

Some surprising changes next year, the biggest of which is the fact that the COTA race will be a standalone event in September. MotoAmerica will not be supporting the MotoGP event in April! (I wonder what that means for the already scheduled US GP round?)

Provisional 2023 MotoAmerica Calendar

March 9-11   Daytona International Speedway                  Daytona Beach, FL

April 21-23    Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta                  Braselton, GA

May 19-21     Barber Motorsports Park                              Birmingham, AL

June 2-4       Road America                                                Elkhart Lake, WI

June 23-25   Ridge Motorsports Park                                Shelton, WA

July 7-9        WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca           Monterey, CA

July 28-30    Brainerd International Raceway                    Brainerd, MN

Aug. 18-20   Pittsburgh International Race Complex     Wampum, PA

Sept. 8-10     Circuit of The Americas                                Austin, TX

Sept. 22-24 New Jersey Motorsports Park                       Millville, NJ

Petrucci announced yesterday he is racing World SBK next year on a Duc. Sure wish he would have stayed in the US series, it sure made for exciting races and great competition at the front!

Watched the MA Superbike races from COTA last weekend. The attendance should be a little concerning for the series organizers. It was the first time MA was held at the track as the headliner and not supporting MotoGP. The track was literally a ghost town for races 1 and 2, no one in the stands or on the grass areas. The only folks watching were the marshals and the cameramen. Yes, it was extremely hot but there was no one there! Not good.

Were you there Russ? We went and yes it was hot AF but I bit my cheek every time I was about to complain about it as the teams and riders were working just as hard as any other venue despite the heat. They are amazing athletes for sure! I didn't expect to see as many attendees we did due to the heat.

Nope, just watched on TV from the cool comfort of my couch. April in Austin is hot enough for my liking.
