Title: JL exhaust installation
Post by: Stoked2smoke on October 24, 2022, 03:51:29 PM
I was looking into the stainless JL exhaust. It says won't work with 78rd400 due to the loop style frame for the rear foot pegs. I am not running rear foot pegs. Is there a chance it will then work.

They may have the year wrong, the 79 Daytona in the USA had the frame loops,  This frame may have come out in 78 in Europe.

Guys,
the information from JLrefer to the european RD models. European E is different to the USA E which is basically a European D.
A european E model share the same frame as a USA 79 Daytona model.

They were talking about the loops on the bar for the footpegs on '76-'78 RD's.  I think some people have managed to make some adjustments to the footpeg bar so that it will work with JL Retro pipes.
