Title: My Birthday/Christmas present from the Bridal Unit

I have been busy so unpacking it and finding a place for it to live in the shop is as far as I have gotten. It is a Vevor 30 liter. I am planning on trying it out soon with the crusty calipers on the Gray Ghost RZ...

Nice! Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas!
Congrats! Same one I have. When I unboxed it I first thought it was too large, but after a few years of using it I've learned that my first assumption was way off.

Looks like a nice big one!  I bought the biggest one I could get.  I haven't used it a lot yet, but it works well when I need it.

You'll love that Tim! Good that you got a large capacity one. I'm on my 3rd one in 8 years having stepped up capacity each time. Have a 15L now. They have been well used in my defense (no fault of the ultrasonic) as have cleaned over 180 master cylinders, 75 brake calipers, and around 30 carbs. I generally do two heated 30 minute cycle cleanings for each basket. You'll wonder how you functioned before without one!

Don't use Simple Green with heat for too long or your carbs will turn black.

I use Simple Green Pro HD, it's safe for aluminum.  I've had decent success in limited use.

Simple Green HD is great on carbs. I have done hundreds in it, and it is pretty sweet. I don't mix it to full strength, instead i go about 20% under.

I pre dip all items in water and dish soap. And ultrasonic tank is a game changer for certain things. A great tool for cleaning and prepping parts.

So what is the optimal mix ratio of Simple Green to water for ultrasonic cleaning?

I use Extreme Simple Green Aircraft and Precision Cleaner (https://simplegreen.com/industrial/products/extreme-aircraft-precision-cleaner/)
I think the last batch was 1:4  And I normally run one or two 20-25 min cycles with temp of 50-55C

About to clean some cb carbs and was planning to use a 50/50 mix of carb cleaner dip and wd-40 in the ultra sonic tank. Seems like chuck q might have recommended it. But curious to see what others think.

Now that I think about it. It might have been Marc who recommended this blend. Curious if this is only for carbs if so what do you use for other stuff and do you use a rinse of anything?

I believe he uses Gunk & WD40.
Almost 5 years ago when I was seeking out a recipe to use I collected info on what people used in their tanks. I still have that file with about 4 or 5 preferred concoctions. Mark's was 75% Gunk carb cleaner & 25% WD40.
