I was venturing out looking for some other bikes, and came across this VT500E.
wondering if anyone hear has any experience with these.
I know the V4 interceptors were good handling bikes, but alot of problems with engines.

I like the v twin 500 hondas, great bikes and handle pretty well. there's weird 80s stuff to deal with on them but otherwise, id own one.
Anyone have an idea of what these are worth?
Or if there is a following.
As always, needing to make sure it "Saleable" if it does not suit me.
Mainly would use as a Sunday driver, and more for investment
Besides looking them up in NADA
look at what they are selling for on ebay. No one here is going to know investment value of a VT500. :twocents:
Milan, I have four Interceptors, they are all good runners and garner attention whenever they're out. That is a nice VT! They are very dependable and fun to ride. If you're worried about "resale" you picked the wrong hobby/endeavor................. :twocents:
Do you have any info on the reliability of the VF400.
Which was sold in Europe.
Came with the bikini fairing & belly pan, like the RZ.
Thanks so far
I have never seen an issue with the motor/trans and hear they can go basically forever. The downside is the carbs are a real PIA to get in and out.
The VF 400 was probably the best of the early Interceptors. Well balanced and handled like a dream. Yes, the carbs are a B^#CH!
I had a rat VT500 given to me. I thought I might make a few $ breaking it.
I listed a bunch of things on EBay for a year. I only every sold the wiring harness and cdi boxes for $125.
Then I gave away the rest to another full time breaker.
Didn't seem to be a market for the parts.
