holy shit balls.

There's a 750 in sconnie-land right now going for $7500 that needs a rebuild. So... I think I'd take that one haha.

They only made 5000 in 1975 the last year of production and most of them.were purple. The prices are going up steadily, especially for original bikes. Personally I prefer the earlier72s and 73s. They were faster and more raw. The engine in my hybrid triple the Phoenix Project is a late 71 set of cases with 72 cylinders.

72-3 H2 also had a 2" shorter swingarm than the 74-5 H2B/C. Have heard the 2" lengthening was due to wheelies and #'s on those hurt on the earlier models. I too, prefer the earlier H2's! Value wise is the 72 and 75 first and last models of production.

ive ridden some really, really nice bikes, rare, museum quality, etc. a stock 75 H2 is def not a 25,000 bike in my opinion. if you are using it as a commodity for trading or investing, sure, but then its just going to never really be used and therefore has no use to me IMHO.

I like my H1 with 750cc H2 motor much better.  H2's aren't good with handling.  An H1 isn't great but it's better.  RD's handle more nicely than H1's and H2's.  But I like the triples!

I agree. Mine is in a 76 KH500 chassis arguably the best handling of the triples. And with EX 500 wheels, forks and brakes mine actually handles pretty good. Mine weighs 408 pounds wet and that helps too. Mark and Evans are right in that the late H2s feel cumbersome between the length changes and added weight plus detuning they are tame in comparison to the 72 and 73 models. 25K is a bit much for that example.

I've bought, owned, and sold a few triples thru the years and I don't miss any of 'em now they're gone.

i had a h2 when i was 18. i was sitting in a 35 mile an hour zone waiting for traffic to take a left turn. i heard tires locking up then i felt the connection. i ended up sitting in the middle of the road. the bike went forward 30 feet and ended up in a ditch sitting upright with the blinker still on. the 1970 ford truck that hit me had a broken front bumper, coolant running out of it, and the hood had an imprint of my back.
i went to the emergency room and checked out ok. the outcome of the story was the truck was totaled and i rode the bike the next day. it bent the tail section a bit and bent one of the pipes.
sorry to say this but i really didn't like the bike. it was fast, heavy, and was good for straight line riding.
that was in 1981 and my next bike was the rd350b. oh yes my back still hurts.
