Was browsing the web and came across this xs650 speedo eliminator. I know there's lots of similarities in these front wheels with the rd350's and rd400's. I emailed the owner of HHB and he stated he believes they will fit on the rd's aswell. Anyone here know forsure?

depends on the year, i think axle diameters may have changed later int he xs run...., but i know very early XS650s with discs and rds fronts will swap ok. (theres one on my 72 r5 actually)
If it's for an XS650 it should fit an RD. The speedo gear housing from the 1975-86 XS650 is the same part as the 75 RD250, 73-75 RD350, and 76-78 RD400.
It will not fit the RD400F, which has a 15mm axle
That is a really cool part. On my thrasher RZ350 with the FZR wheel I capped the thing off. No speedo gauge on that bike. I wonder if all of those speedo drives are the same dimensionally.
If you are running a digital gauge like this

And don't want to use the magnet speedometer sensor pickup this is another option I have on another bike

Has worked like a champ for all 85 miles the bike has been ridden. :vroom:
Ken, I bought one of those cable to digital speed sensor adapters as well for the Daytona Velona multifunctional gauge I chose for the Gray Ghost RZ project. M in SC snd I were just discussing it yesterday and wondering if it was going to work. Glad to see that they do :patriot: :patriot:
If only I had time to work on it. 115 days until Deals Gap and it is still in the partially disassembled phase of the project.

Koso also has a GPS sensor for the speedo if you dont want anything running down to the wheel, but they are about $200
