First pic... The blue drain plug, what kind of socket is that? Also, what are these 4 studs and is there an easy way to remove them?
Second pic.. Found this dangling in the same area. I'm pretty sure it's the fitting and tube for the oil injector or a vent? My bike runs premix though. Maybe the person I bought it from was lazy and left it there. That stuff drives me nuts, I'm too anal. Yes, I will most likely move back to the pump, but that will probably be next year.
Thx again.
First pic appears to be a safety-wired aluminum drain bolt. Not sure what type of wrench/socket you would need as I've never used that type. Seems to be the same as this one: https://psr-usa.com/magnetic-drain-plug.html#.Y8w_W3bMK3B
Second pic is one of the oil line spigots that is supposed to be inserted into the carb body (if using the oil pump). If you're on pre-mix it's not used, but don't throw it away!
What is the other end of the hose connected to? Is the oil pump still installed? Are the ports in the carb bodies plugged?
Oil pump gone and plugged. I think when he removed the system, that fell, and he left it there.
The 4 bolts/studs, I think those are the brackets for the stock foot pegs, bike has rear sets. Does the engine have to be lifted in order to get those out, guessing yes? Either that, or it's hours of Dremel use. Ugh!
I checked the level of the oil numerous times, and its crystal clear, no color to it all. No idea what type is in there.
Thanks.
The "studs" are the mounts for the footrest. It's a left and right piece that are inserted from the top.
