tick tick tick.
:gentleman: :olaf: :whoop:
well this snuck up on me.
But not on Chuck. He texted me, he got us a room. So we will be at the gap. Looking forward to another year for good riding and great company.
saw chuck squeaked in at post #14. was glad to see that.
sold out in 2 minutes? holy hell.
My biggest issue now is deciding what to bring. :umm:
see you there Paul!
Mark,
you need to bring your lightweight. I would love to see that one. And your wife, I like seeing her to.
you know, I've been debating bringing the lightweight, its been a few years, maybe 3? since I've had it up there. I very well might bring it. TBH, Im trying to see if i can haul 4, the cb (or t500), the lightweight, the tzr and the yl1.
Angie cant make it, its the week before mothers day which is the busiest day of the year in the restaurant, she need the week to prep. so, no Angie this year unfortunately.
Wow, seems like times flying by... Now with the littles and no time for anything garage-related... haha. Maybe next year?
59 days Gentlemen.
looking forward to another week away from phone and work.

hour and a half away, not bad.
What is the dates of the 2 stroke event? I see the 7th is Sunday,. Is it for that whole week or one day now or what? I say it every year but this year I'm going. My sister has a house in the mountains an hour away and gonna stay there. My brother in law swears there's better riding around there then the Dragon so its time to find out both. Mark how far is wheels through time from there?
its sunday to sun (most are gone by sat), the whole week. mon-wed the best time to attend. Is there better overall riding in the area than the dragon? absolutely, but thats not the point, and we ride all over the place around there.
wheels thru time, about an hour 20-40 mins or so, depends how you go and how you ride/drive. :twocents:
Thanks Mark, I'm going to be there starting the 7th

Good to know.
Do most stay at DGMR? Is that the HQ/hub?
With the room reservation thing and booking for a week, how does it work if you only want to attend part of the event? (not for this year  ) Like what happens with attending Sun-Thurs for example?
the rooms sold out in less than 2 minutes. to be honest, most stay nearby, I usually rent a house as of the past 5? yrs or so, this is the 1st year in quite a while i'll be at the 'main' hotel. there's so much within 20 mins , and Robbinsville has some hotels plus lots of other things that have sprouted up. its oen place where a 20 min 'commute' is actually a plus.
I went up in Sep alone with one of my non-2stroke bikes. I stayed at 2 wheel inn. They have a small garage for each room you can put your bike in. Like Mark said, about 20 or so min to the gap. Price was great and room was OK.
30 days until Deals Gap. :righteous: :righteous:
I still don't have anything ready.
close enough. if it blows up at the gap, at least theres support there. *upside :toot:
If all goes well, test ride the Gray Ghost RZ next week. The Phoenix just needs a quick detail and transmission oil change as it has been 2 years since it was changed. The same with either the white RZ or the RD350.
I also have to install the new ABS fenders on the trailer.
phones open, booked and paid for. Room 2 for me.
:olaf:
(please clap)

I got through and paid for mine as well.

Looks like the rain will be more spotty than originally forecast, and turn better as the week progresses. Be safe and enjoy the roads. Don't forget the Possum Gathering at the Sevier County Fairgrounds on the 12th & 13th.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230507/c9e4fcbe5eccface094805de5e1d3af9.jpg)
