Title: Speedometer gear housing
Post by: LMS on February 08, 2023, 04:43:59 PM
I removed the front wheel on my 75rd for the first time so I can have the tire replaced, wheel balanced. The bike has sun aluminum rims, not sure if that means anything in regard to my question. When I pulled the wheel off the speedometer gear housing fell out, is this by design? Looks like when reinstalling, you line up the tabs, press it into place, then install wheel?
What's the best grease to use, might as well add some while I'm in there.

Thanks.

I'm unsure how much difference there is between yours and the RZ.

Take apart, clean the parts, and use a good wheel bearing grease.

Wow, great video. I'm all about, while I'm in there, especially since I have so much time to kill before this bike will be on the road.
Thanks again.
