Title: NGK Racing Plugs B8EG
Post by: AAAltered on February 22, 2023, 01:56:33 PM
Cleaning the garage today and found a new box of these NGK's.  I can't find much of any information on them.

I normally run Irridium BR8EIX or in the past, B8ES in the R5 with 3/4" reach heads.

Anyone know about these "Racing Competition" line of plugs?  I may try a pair in the spring, BEFORE I need plugs.  They are removable tip.

Thanks

A gold plated electrode.
They used gold before they found "iridium"... and copper before that.

Here's the decoding of that plug:
B = 14mm thread diameter
8 = heat range (2 hot to 11 cold)
E = 19mm (3/4") thread reach
G = Fine wire nickel alloy center electrode

ES suffix is 19mm (3/4") thread reach and Standard 2.5mmø center electrode
