Thanks for sending me down a rabbit hole.

I sensed that I've seen that engine design in other Italian bikes.  Then I found Motibi, they used a similar look.  I'm not sure who exactly made those motors but I'm pretty sure there are other small Italian marques that used them...

aeremacchi (sp) used a similar layout/look as well.

Very similar to the Harley Davidson (AMF) Sprint which were  made by Aermacchi and imported by HD in the late 60s and early 70s.
