That's true! I grew about 60 miles from those South GA towns! Used to go to Whigham, which is another small GA city near these, to the Annual Rattlesnake Round Up. They paid a bounty per snake captured along with the length. They also had an organization that milks the snakes as part making the venoumous snake vaccine. Good, vendors, live entertainment, etc. I remember riding my new Suzuki GS1100E there! Can recall the exact helmet, jacket, gloves, etc that I was wearing that day which was 41 years ago.
