Title: No serial stamp?

Never seen a case not stamped with a serial number.
 This one has the R5 prefix then..nothing.
 But attached to the case is this sticker.
Wht the hell?

Yep, like Mark said it's a replacement engine (warranty or dealer service replacement)

Blue tagged from the state for  new registration. That starts the bike with clean registration , they will tag the frame , motor, trans.

Someone told me, back then complete replacement engine was only $400.
