Title: Burnt offerings
Post by: soonerbillz on July 10, 2023, 03:15:12 PM
So I've pulled a number of items from my burned shop that are worth saving.
All only saw some heat (not fire) and/or heavy soot damage.
I'm looking for ideas on how to clean them up.
 Thanks for any imput.

Depends on what they are. Ultrasonic and or glass beads or vapor blast depending if they are metal.

Might try greased lightning cleaner. Murder on bare aluminum 12-13 ph. Tried simple green yet?

Thanks all for recommending stuff.
I've been mostly using simple green and dawn with ok results. Engine parts get blasted.
Slow going.
