Wow.  6 degrees hotter than my ride the other day in WA.  How's the road conditions on Carnegie Canyon/ Mines / back and front of Mt. Hamilton?  they haven't tar snaked the hell out of it yet, have they?

Used to love the short distance from the Berryessa side of San Jose, leading up to Hammy on the ole 89'GSXR750 Slingshot mongrel.   All of the sudden you are in the middle of nowhere, love it.

Apparently they just chip sealed Mines from the Santa Clara Count line I think to The Junction. Which means I can only ride the Thrasher bike up there for a year or two. Unfortunately my "normal" weekend fix (Mines Road" was devastated by the record rainfalls so not spending much time up there till road repairs have been completed. But here is my last ride on my side of Mines Road prior to the chip seal.

The ride to Carnegie is OK for a casual ride in the country. Here's a video of the last time I rode that way.
