Title: Dragonfly Two Stroke Software and Calculations
Post by: StrokedTater on August 23, 2023, 09:39:03 PM
Hey All,

I'm new to the board but not to two strokes in general. We have been building and racing for over 25 years. Over the last few years we have tried using these two stroke programs to tune our machines but have had less than stellar results. We have made much more hp and tq on the dyno and track times using our own ideas instead. Anyone else using these programs? Interested in your results. Seems like snake oil from what we have experienced.

This has been out for many years.
Someone's Excel rendition of Gordon Blairs research with many details missing.
Junk.

Somewhat close were the DOS programs that went with the book.

I agree with the junk part.   The squish velocity is way low to make any usable Hp and Tq. Only thing we got was more over rev. But the front of curve and peak lacked A LOT!

Thanks for your feedback.
