Was pulling my 75 T500 out of storage and the carb slides were stuck. While turning the throttle cable, one of the cables going to the carb came out of the junction case. Has anyone else had this happen? Can the cable be put back together? There is no apparent destruction to the cable ends, but the junction is made out of plastic.
it should go back together. but my guess is you pulled it pretty hard and maybe damaged the splitter junction.

The one i have is a repop like the ebay one. I was able to take it apart and got it back together. The previous owner gave me some parts and i found the original throttle cable which was rusty, but looked like it would work. The ebay repop os a cheap plastic cable, but it does work. All's well that ends well. Thanks for the info!
cool, glad you got it. the stock one is plastic as well just fyi.
