Title: Production Date Info
Post by: mixedbikes on October 09, 2023, 02:53:51 PM
Is there a place to look up a rough production date for Rd's by VIN? I am trying to get steering neck VIN decals made, but do not know the month of production to have printed on them. It is not terribly important, but would like to be close. Also, if any of you guys have a good picture of a 75 RD350, and a 79 Daytona decal, I would appreciate it, and of course, you can block off your VIN in the picture. Thanks in advance for any help.

For the Daytona (and assuming it's a US 2V0 model) this should help you narrow down the build date:
2V0-0004xx = 11/78
2V0-0019xx = 12/78
2V0-0021xx = 12/78
2V0-0041xx = 01/79

I don't have much for the RD350B:
351-3133xx = 9/74

Thank you, thats most of what I needed. My Daytona is a US model, very low number, and the RD350 is not many numbers past what you posted. Now a couple pics and I am good to go, thanks again.

What I've noticed, if you find the date on the wheel, bike production 2 months later. my rd was like that and kawasaki triples were like that. Not sure if the rd350 wheels have date codes though.
