That is super-cool and I'm not into watercraft either.
Somehow, despite making aircraft and aero engines for decades, Curtiss-Wright managed to make this powerplant look thoroughly agricultural.
Apparently this engine was used in a John Deere SN-71 model 400 snowmobile. Described as a Canadian Curtis-Wright 339cc producing 28 hp. There was also a model 500 snow machine with a 436cc version making 36 hp. That is the only other reference I could find online. No photos of the engine itself.
